Fou Gallery and Teasthetic invite you to step into a moment of calm with our Sound Healing and Tea Ceremony, a two-hour retreat designed to bring tranquility to the heart of city life. The event includes two parts.
Sound Healing: Step into a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience that blends healing sounds with mindful awareness.Our Sound Bath Meditation begins with gentle guided breathing and a body scan to help ground and center you. As you settle in, you'll be immersed in a soothing soundscape featuring crystal singing bowls, a shruti box, ocean drums, koshi chimes, and the human voice—each element carefully chosen to harmonize your energy and promote inner peace. Let the healing vibrations wash over you, cleansing your energy field and bringing you into communion with yourself in a safe, nurturing space.
Tea Ceremony: In China, tea has a history spanning over 2,000 years and holds a significant place in the culture, serving as both a spiritual experience and a means of self-cultivation. In a serene Chinese tea ceremony, participants embark on a delicate journey of sensation and aesthetics. Guests gather around a thoughtfully designed and meticulously arranged tea stage, listening to the gentle bubbling of mountain spring water over the stove. Their gaze follows the tea artist’s focused and tranquil movements, tracing the flow of water through the tea vessels, and quietly awaiting the tea leaves to unfurl in the teapot. During the sipping, the refined and fragrant flavor of the tea draws the mind away from the trivialities and noise of everyday life, immersing it in the beauty of the present moment. This brief yet profound tea ceremony reconnects us with our inner selves, awakening a refined awareness of our sensations and emotions.

Please wear comfortable clothes for the event. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat.
Instructors
Boshko Boskovic is a Reiki Master, Sound Healing practitioner, and the founder of Let’s Heal NYC, a private practice specializing in Reiki and Sound Healing treatments. Trained and certified in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki lineage and by the Sound Healing Center in Sausalito, California, Boshko brings a deep understanding of energy healing to his practice. He serves as the Community Reiki Manager at Minka Brooklyn and leads monthly Sound Bath sessions at 14th St Y, Last Frontier NYC, and Brooklyn Community Pride Center. As a certified Dementia practitioner, Boshko regularly facilitates Reiki and Sound Healing sessions in Memory Care units. Boshko is a member of Reiki Infused Sound Experiences, a sound healing collective whose album Waves of Possibility is available on Spotify. Since 2023, he has been the Healing Artist in Residence at Mothership NYC in Brooklyn.
Mengyan Gong is a tea artist, pursued in-depth studies of Chinese tea culture after earning her Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2015, apprenticing under the highly innovative tea master Li Shuyun. Mengyan has collaborated with institutions, such as Penn State University, Suffolk County Community College and Tea Arts & Culture, as well as art and cultural venues like Fou Gallery, host numerous tea gatherings and educational events. In 2023, she founded Teasthetic Studio, with a mission to spread the tradition of Chinese tea art and culture in a modern and innovative manner by drawing inspiration from contemporary life and art.

Due to the intimate nature of our programs and the detailed planning required with our instructors, we kindly ask for your understanding of our non-refundable policy. Once registered for a course, all payments are final and cannot be refunded.
