A New Chapter Begins, Cherishing the Past

September, 2024

We are delighted to announce that in October 2024, Fou Gallery will relocate from Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn to 89 Fifth Avenue, Suite 701, in Manhattan, New York. Nestled in a historic 1904 cast-iron building near Union Square, our new home will continue to foster the warm, home-like atmosphere that has always been at the heart of our community. With its high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and hardwood floors, the space captures the character and charm of Manhattan’s iconic historic districts.

As part of this new chapter, we are excited to introduce our collaboration with the tea studio Teasthetic, creating a unique environment where art and daily life can harmoniously intersect.

At Fou Gallery, we believe art is an essential part of everyday life. Our curated exhibitions remain at the heart of what we do—presenting thought-provoking works by both emerging and established artists, with a special focus on the Asian diaspora. Through these exhibitions, we aim to inspire reflection and dialogue, engaging with the challenges and beauty of the world around us. Complementing our exhibition program, Fou offers healing workshops and community events that expand the experience of art beyond the visual. From kintsugi and wagashi-making to sound baths, concerts, and conversations, these programs create spaces for mindfulness, creativity, and connection—embodying Fou’s belief that art can both heal and unite.

Having supported the Asian diaspora art community since 2013, Fou Gallery is proud to continue this journey in our new space. As we embark on this next chapter, we remain dedicated to our mission of healing through art, integrating creativity into everyday life, and offering a sanctuary for artistic expression and personal growth.

Our Mission

Art as Healing, Life as Art

Fou Gallery, established in 2013, believes in the power of art to heal, transform, and foster deeper connections with oneself and the world. We create spaces where art serves as a tool for emotional and spiritual healing, offering moments of tranquility, reflection, and renewal. Our gallery goes beyond exhibitions, providing an immersive experience where art becomes a practice of mindfulness. Additionally, we are committed to amplifying the voices of Asian diaspora artists and providing a supportive community. Through curated exhibitions, healing sessions, and community gatherings, Fou nurtures a shared journey toward balance, inner peace, and a harmonious relationship with the earth, while celebrating the diverse cultural narratives that enrich our collective experience.
