Meng Du x Salomon Shanghai
January 2026
On February 3, 2026, SALOMON partnered with UCCA Lab to present Weaving Paths, a site-specific art project at SALOMON's century-old French-style venue, the Little White House · Fujun, in Shanghai. The collaboration stems from SALOMON's 2026 concept "La Reflection Shaping New Future," envisioning the outdoors as a two-way mirror that reflects both nature's tangible forms and its inner spiritual essence.
The project features artist Du Meng, who works with glass as her primary medium — navigating between chance and precision, intuition and patience, hot and cold processes. Her site-specific installations respond to the building's layered architecture, embedding themselves in the space like natural growth. Key works include Steps, Traced, Without Beginning or End, an interwoven glass-thread composition shaped by gravity on the first floor, and Before Arrival, a series of seven floating blown-glass forms on the third floor. Together, they invite visitors to trace their own path through the intersections of material, space, and time.
