This intimate evening workshop invites participants to slow down, reconnect, and restore through Sonic Sound and Vibrational Healing. This immersive experience is created using mostly Himalayan Singing Bowls, accompanied by Crystal Singing Bowls, Rin Bowls, and Chimes, while being introduced by the soft rhythms of the Buffalo and Ocean Drum. Guests are guided into a meditative soundscape where resonance and stillness naturally bring the mind and body into balance.
The Sonic Sound Bath emphasizes direct vibrational application with sound. Singing bowls are placed and gently played on top of the body, creating a form of therapeutic sound massage. Focus is given to the lower body energy centers — including the root, sacral, solar plexus and heart chakras — using corresponding bowls and frequencies to encourage grounding, release stored tension and emotions, and support for nervous system regulation. The physical resonance and somatic integration of the bowls allows participants to feel sound not only around them, but deep within them. As guests rest comfortably, layered sound frequencies move through the body to help release stagnation, ease muscular tightness, and promote a deeply embodied sense of calm. Many experience profound relaxation, physical unwinding, emotional clarity, and renewed vitality. The experience is deeply restorative and focuses on the embodied connection to sound.
To close the evening, guests gather for a handcrafted herbal tea — a simple, grounding ritual that encourages integration and gentle reflection before returning to the pace of the outside world.
Participant Guidelines and Liability Waiver
Sound healing sessions may involve the use of Himalayan singing bowls placed on or near the body, creating both audible sound and vibrational effects. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
On-Body Sound Considerations
Singing bowls will not be placed on: areas of the body with recent surgery (within the past 3 months); areas with metal implants (plates, rods, etc.); the abdomen during pregnancy; the chest/heart area for individuals with pacemakers. If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, please consult your physician before attending. Please inform the instructor of any relevant conditions prior to the session.
Sound Sensitivity
These sessions may include loud or high-frequency sounds. Participation is not recommended for individuals with sensitivity to sound or certain auditory conditions.
Participation & Setup
Participants may lie down on the floor or sit in a chair. Mats, pillows, blankets, and eye coverings are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing (avoid front zippers or buttons if possible).
Personal Responsibility
By attending, you voluntarily participate and assume responsibility for your own well-being during the session. Please bring minimal belongings. The venue and instructor are not responsible for lost or unattended items.

Instructor
Mel Rio is a certified Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner, Usui Reiki Master, and Crystal Energy Healer, as well as the founder of The Singing Bowl Sound Bath Studio, LLC. in New York City. Her work combines the artistry of Himalayan singing bowls with the energetic principles of Reiki and crystal healing to create immersive sound meditations designed to restore balance, clarity, and stillness. Through years of exploring how frequency, breath, and energy interact, Mel developed her signature modality, Sonic Crystal Reiki and Sonic Sound Bath — a harmonious blend of sound vibration and targeted crystal placement that aligns the chakras and promotes emotional and physical well-being.
